Hey guys been reading these forums for years and finally had a need to post, see if the great minds on here can solve what google search cant...

So i'll try and keep it as simple as poss:

Had a Cyborg F.R.E.Q Headset(USB) and was getting a loud buzzing/feedback in background, the web said this was common with that headset so I sent it back and it got replaced. Came back had much lower buzzing but was still there and others could hear it when I spoke on TS.

So now a year later I finally decided to get a new headset and went for the:
ASUS Echelon "Camo edition" as only seen positive feedback and reviews. (Bought through OCUK)

plugged it in (jacks) and set my recording and playback to the new headset and tested it on TeamSpeak,

Everything I hear on my computer(output?), music, windows dings, even other people talking gets sent back through as if I was saying it (input?).

Based on the previous headset getting minimal feedback and this headset initially giving head exploding feedback (until I turned the levels right down, see pic) I am inclined to think its the soundcard? but its not a cheap card or wasn't when I got it and have tried reinstalling to no change.

To the person who is able to solve this conundrum, with my sounds not being broadcast to everyone through my mic and head exploding feedback, I will buy them a pack of beer at Insomnia ;) honest.

Cheers in advance,

Rob
