Soundcard info needed

My setup has a onboard soundcard on callied a realtek ALC883 @ intel 82801IB ICH9 controller. I have just stripped my brothers pc down and have been given a soundblaster audigy 2 card. Is the onboard one better than the audigy or not.

The Sound Blaster Audigy 2 has a higher signal-to-noise ratio and supports EAX4 so yes, it will sound better.

The older Audigy SE sounds twice as good as my Realtek onboard audio, so yeah.
