Hey,
my dad is planning on getting a pc (I will be building) for casual gaming and listening to music. He has a very decent speaker system which I do not know the name of, and he wants the audio to be of good quality to make use of the expensive speakers.
Since I personally have never looked into sound much, my question is: will he notice a difference between onboard audio from the motherboard (ALC 892) to a dedicated sound card?
If there is a noticable difference on speakers, which soundcard would be best for the job? Anything around 50 pounds would be great, although could probably stretch to a little bit more if it means considerably better audio quality.
