I have been running folding at home now on the GPU, when I fire this up I hear a faint highpitch whine coming from my speakers which changes over to my headphones when I plug them in.
I googled it up a bit and saw a few others having it so I disregarded as slightly off rails, however now when I have the project turned off and my headphones in I hear noise just a cracking and when I move the mouse it ups in volume a little then goes down again when I stop.
The best part is when I maximise or minimise a window sounds like a little bee is at the end of its life.
So my question is this, wonky over stressed PSU damaged my x-fi or faulty x-fi?
I'm at a loss.
