Hi all, Is there a soundcard that can output Via optical (digital coax second choice) to my AV amp in full dolby digital (the AV amp can also decode this so even if it just outputted the Raw info for the AV to decode?

Thanks

if you want something that can do it for games, then you'll want something that supports DDLive and/or dts encoding. so thats the asus Xonar series, and pretty much every card from azuentech. This includes the x-mystique,x-plosion, x-prelude (with a creative x-fi chipset) and a few others too.

pick of the bunch for me would be the asus xonar dx pci-e card. for its price its better than anything else out there and will do just want you ask:)

O.k. cool, I mainly want it for watching my blu ray disks in surround sound as at the moment my onboard realtek sound is only outputting to the av amp in PCM 96 which is basically stereo, So hopefully that card will work fine.
