soundmax audio driver issues

just installed my new p5q-e and i am getting 2 x audio device on high definition audio bus devices in device manager.

does anyone have any idea why this would be listed twice? anyway, when i try to install the soundmax driver, it installs it to one and not the other, as a result i don't seem to be getting sound.....

any ideas?

...could this be because my ATI 4850 also has an audio device and there is a conflict?

Well i installed a 3850 recently and installed the HD audio drivers for some reason, and i lost all sound aswell. (I have soundMAX too) I fixed it by selecting soundMAX as the default device

Start > control panel > sounds and audio devices > audio tab > and select the defauklt device to soundmax, after installing the ATI audio drivers, it was on that, so i switched it back and bingo
