Hello,

I'm looking for tips on soundproofing an antec 1200 whilst keeping as much of the airflow as possible. My first thought was to add a massive panel of thin material over the windowed panel (on the inside of course)...but there's only a few mm clearance between the panel and the noctuaNC12 cooler; do the thin soundproofing sheets work or do you really need the thicker material?

Thanks

Sound proofing isn't going to do much it's the case and fans that are the main culprit I'd look at making sure every fans contacting rubber between it and case/cooler before looking at sound proofing as the antecs a pretty open noisy case as it is.Test it by using some material you got lying around first as you may end up blowing money on a sound proofig kit and not being impressed at all.Maybe get better fans and run them low rpm.
