Can you cook soup from a Tin in the Microwave?

Do you cook it like baked beans (in a microwave) and put plate under the bowl, soup in the bowl and a plate on top?

How long should I put it on for without burning it?

:p cheers

You can but it's nasty. Do it on the hob if you can.

If you MUST do it in the microwave, put it in a bowl with a plate on top. Microwave for one min. Stir. Then for another min.

yes you can but stir when you can especially if it's a thick soup
2-3 mins should do the trick for piping hot

It doesn't taste nasty? lol

2 mins for soup? no, it depends on the soup, 2 mins wouldn't make it very hot only warm. If its thick soup you have - 3 mins minimum, stirring after 2.

I normally only do it for two because I like my soup to be very warm but not hot. Normally three minutes at 900w makes it too hot.

I've always done soup/beans in the microwave, not on the hob (less washing up.. I find the pans hard to clean after).

I nuke beans/soup for 3mins normally at about 800-900w then let it cool for 5 minutes.

The above + buttered/bread = fantastico
