Source button no longer working on mt 2407WFP

As title, to change source I need to go into the menu, the button on the front doesn't work.

I bought it in Sept 2007, how likely is it to be in warranty? I looked on the Dell website and it wants a product code but I can't find one where the site suggest?
 
OK, I will get the full serial number and call Dell Support on Monday. Still no idea about his service/product code though?
 
Do you have the Dell "Works Order Number" (it can be found on a sticker on the outside of the original box)? This is one number they really want when processing a monitor warranty. It is possible that the original reseller kept a record of it, this fortunately happened to me when my 2408 went funny and I had thrown out the box.

Also, Dell want to know the trade name of the reseller the monitor was bought from (eg. if it was bought from OCUK, then you say "Esnet Ltd". They also want the serial number, this should be the easiest one as it is on the sticker on the back of your monitor and is proceeded by "S/N:".

As for timeframe, if you have all this info then you can expect a replacement dell monitor for the next working day. They will exchange your faulty one for a working one (either new or refurb) on your doorstep. So far, I have been very impressed by their service.

I keep all original boxes and receipts so I will have the info listed above so that's a relief. Thanks. I will call them now and see how I get on. :)
 
New Monitor coming on Wednesday. Apart from the fact I was on hold/being passed around departments for 15 minutes, not bad service so far.
