Hi, ive read a lot on this forum previously. Ive not seen an up to date answer for the following.

I have a 3770k i7, ive damaged my m'board.

Im wanting a z77 but cant find one anywhere! Do you guys know of any available. Ive ordered a b75 to keep me going but I cant use my cpu to full potential on this...

Telling you exactly where to find them will involve naming competitors which is against forum rules.

I've not found anything myself, perhaps it's worth selling your 3770K and stepping up to Haswell since you can't get Z77 stuff now?

Well if it's only a couple of months old why don't you claim warranty?

B75 doesn't make your system slower than Z77, but you can't do any overclocking unless you're on Z77.

What does "tinkering" entail? Is the board dead, or just now missing a USB3 header?

I'd personally RMA the board.

The corsair h100 kept being lost by the software (common issue) the lead came off when adjusting other cables, damaging the pins.

Im going to get a usb 3 to usb 2 convertor meaning i just lose the usb 3 speed.

Not the end of the world.

Cant warrent changing to a new cpu!

No point. The 3770 is a good CPU. You would not gain a lot from upgrading: http://www.anandtech.com/bench/product/1260?vs=551. I would just get the cheap mobo and wait until either Broadwell or skylake comes out as thats when you would notice a bigger difference.

You've missed the point. What good is a CPU if there's no motherboard to put it in? If you can't get a replacement Z77 Mini iTX motherboard then sell the Ivy and buy something else.

Now as it turns out, it's a storm in a teacup since it's on the USB3 header broken and nothing actually stopping the system from working.
