Hi Guys,

Just wondering if anyone know what sort of price i should be paying for VAGCOM/VCDS genuine software, I know you can get knock offs from Ebay, but i'd prefer to get the original for support etc.

Main reason for use would be for coding stuff in on my my12 A4 avant, when i get it, and my old man can use it on the junk he buys lol!

Anyone aware of any group buys on any VAG forums?
 
They are around £250 from Gendan for a genuine Rosstech one off the top of my head, I managed to get mine from ebay where it'd been used once and sold on with the original invoice for a few weeks previous for £200 this is for a hex+can model.
 
The 'knock offs' on ebay give you the lite version of the rosstech software. It will still let you read codes, do some minor tweaks and resets here and there.

Are you sure you need the full software? I thought the software was a subscription service?
 
You can pick up used ones on various VAG forums. On www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum they have a section to find someone local to you that has one, who can code it for you. A guy near me only wanted a tenner to program in the bluetooth module (also changed some other settings whilst at it such as auto door locking and checking for any errors).

I was tempted to buy one, but then it would mean I'd start buying all sorts of modules I don't need like cruise control, reversing camera, high line dash etc :)
