South African shops

I wouldn't necessarily trust the British postal services to boerewors... It might be back up and walking by the time they manage it!!
Whereabouts are you? There are probably some better local places, and AFAIK it has to be made in the UK anyway.

Where to? Loads of good saffer shops, provided you don't live in the arse-end of nowhere.
I'm in Selsey, West Sussex. When lived in London use to go to local shops but not many around here now. Think will order from Snoggys as they deliver fresh and not frozen.

Ah, fair enough. We lived in Putney and were surrounded by saffer shops, think we had like 7 in a 2 mile radius. We now live in Godalming and have one in Guildford (which does the best boerie I've found so far) and one in Cobham which is also really good, but a bit of a trek.

There is a very good shop in Havant - Biltong and Bangers. They stock a fairly decent selection of SA goods, but the biltong and wors is fantastic.

There's a decent one in Woking, and if you go a bit further afield there's one in Bisley where I get my biltong from every now and then. They don't do droëwors though, which makes me a sad meat snacking fiend. :(

@oggiet gotta be worth a look surely!

Went in Lidl today for sausages and saw a pack of these so in basket it went - They are just ready to go in the oven -Hope they taste good with homemade chips.

PS. I am addicted. Wife wasn't so keen so in future if we have any of these in freezer I will have these and wife will have normal ones.

Hard skip on the cranberry/feta one, but I did have the chakalaka version that was a hit at the braai over the weekend.

Nothing comes close to Snoggys.

Their chicken flattie is also amazing.

They're one of the few places that allow you to specify, how fatty and how moist you want biltong. It's a proper south African shop.
