I'm just about to water-cool my north bridge ic, is it worth water-cooling the south bridge ic?? or just stick a fan cooler there instead??
Thanks in-advance...

I've just bought an Enzotech One-Piece Forged Copper Southbridge Heatsink from the states.

It's just arrived at home so i'll be fitting it to my 680i in the next couple of days.

Looks like a quality item!

Fingers crossed it will do a good job!

Also, i've heard of others using the Thermalright HR-05 SLi cooler. But as i use a 7950GX2 there's no room anywhere near the southbridge for something that size! :(

If you're going to water-cool a Striker - you owe it to yourself to buy the EK Striker M/B Kit. You get N/B, S/B and PWM blocks for £80 and they fit perfectly because they were made specifically for that board.

Unfortunately I can't link you to the EK website as they sell direct into the UK, but it shouldn't take you long to find it with Google.

Hi, already have a DD N/B and the EK PWM blocks :)
There's not much room on the S/B ic, the middle pci-e retention clip gets in the way, might have to cut it off :(
