Sad news to wake up to looks like 121 plus dead miraculously some of the crew survived.

Reports of a bird strike? Landing gear failed my amateur guess by the video is the pilot made a textbook landing but didn't know about the concrete wall at the end of the runway.

If that wall wasn't there I think everyone survives, this is South Korea worst air disaster from what Ive read now.

The plane landed half way of the runaway so landed very late. Something went very wrong. Possibly the pilot decided to not take the risk to go around with no working engines and force to land.

But having the landing gears not deployed is a strange one..either technical failure or pilot errors.

RIP

I read the pilot made a textbook belly landing apart from flaps, and obviously distance it landed deep on the runway.

I'm guessing the plane was pretty much a glider why it needed to drop where it did on the runway.

Staying obvious but if it lands further back it has the time to come to a stop possibly. Although I still say that antenna area is deadly and if this is the case in other airports the area should be redesigned for safety reasons.

Also the miracle of the Hudson was a bird strike which from bird strike to landing on water was 4 minutes total.

I don't think we should be saying about pilot blame just yet maybe a horrible scenario to be in.

He is sparing no details explaining the reason they have not been able to release the bodies is because they are very badly damaged, with most of them not whole.

They are sorting through more than 600 body parts, trying to match them together.

They are taking their time as they want to avoid making any mistakes.

Forensic teams are still working today to collect more body parts and tissues.

Grim having to do that :( from the BBC live

Seems to suggest here at 11 mins onwards of a possible shutdown of the wrong engine.

Who knows tragic incident all the same.

Not sure it would have made a difference anyway but I read about similar incident Warsaw where they foamed the runway to slow a plane line this incident which was successful.
