Just a bit of a rant really, southern Water had fundamental issues with their south Hampshire treatment plant (it could not keep up with demand because it's capacity had been reduced due to all the rain we had) just before Christmas which meant 24,000 households (so getting towards 100,000 people!) Had zero water for 4 days I think it was.
Now 7 weeks later once again SW are unable to supply water to an unknown number of house holds in South Hampshire due to the infrastructure that they're responsible for maintaining failing. We've been told via twitter and text this afternoon that we'll be without any water "into the weekend".
Luckily my wife and I can both work from home so we've buggered off to my Dad's place in the first world County of Dorset where they have running water but I would imagine most can't do this.
Does this happen anywhere else or are SW just excessively crap?
