Does the story significantly change if he was born in Rwanda or born here to immigrant parents?
He was either a child upon entry or born afterwards… it doesn’t seem to have any bearing on the situation.

I remember when one of the channels were going to broadcast a documentary about the grooming gangs and an election was called so they delayed it for fear of the BNP gaining support.
They were more concerned about the BNP than children and parents getting awareness about child abusers.
That was a wake up call for me. Since then that attitude the media have as become their normal response.

Some of the replies in this thread are really beyond the pale. Like really unhinged. Some of you come across like you’re glad it happened almost so your views might be proven right.

I was right about why they didn't mention anything about the person, in fact the news comments and twitter is swamped with people already feeling it

It was horrific what happened, my heart goes to all the victims. But this keeps happening again and again from stabbings to gun attacks! How many times do we have to keep hearing MENTAL HEALTH?

You also absolutely haven't been proven right about why they didn't mention anything about him.

People are frustrated as a large majority of people saw this coming 10-15 years ago, but got shut down by the morally superior, along with an absolutely useless government which we have had.

He was born in the UK, his parents were originally from Rwanda, he then moved to Southport with them when he was six.
