SP120 - overrated!

So I bought a twin pack of the SP120 Performance editions to try in my Arc Midi, and they seem to make a really bad humming noise that is really annoying and so much worse than the GT 1850s.

I have them both hooked up to a fan controller and at any RPM the GT 1850s are quieter and also have a much nicer tone. Idling at 1000 RPM the Corsairs have a definite noise whereas the GTs are almost silent. Will be sticking with them in future

Glad so many people agree

I bought the SP120s because there were a lot of positive posts about them on here, but maybe it's because they are a newish product and the GTs have been around for donkeys years

Noise and annoyance are matters of opinion of course!

But have you tried the Gentle Typhoons?

If the SP120s were £7 I wouldn't have a problem, but at their current price I don't think they offer very good price/performance.
