Fans are on 5v. Non PWM version.
Apologies for the bad audio quality, used my phone to try and capture the noise.

The fans have been doing it for so long now that i've decided that its time to take action. It's just so annoying, this is the loudest thing i can hear from my computer. Not the "fan noise" but this, i assume is the motor.

IIRC when they were new, they didnt do this - obviously. But surely it shouldnt really be making this sound/noise.

I have a total of 6x SP120 QE and 2x AF140 QE. All of the SP120 makes these noise, the AF140's are okay.

I run all of them at either 7v or 5v. Mostly 5v. And it is most noticeable at this voltage, literally only thing i can hear from the computer. At 7v, it's still there, less noticeable due to the fans spinning quicker but it is there. I never run 12v because its just too loud, cant hear the motor noise at this voltage but the fans spinning at its quickest is just so loud.

Surely this isnt normal...right?

Bearing noise. Maybe made worse by the horizontal mounting, with which some fans just don't last very long with.

You need better fans.
