sp3 errors

hi guys i keep getting the offer via window to update to sp3, when i try to download it it gets to the file backup part and throws up an error about not being able to copy the file netshell.dll and it offers a location c:\\windows\system 32\dllcache , i retry but it fail again and i have to cancel the update , I'm using xp pro with sp2 installed any advice anyone ?

slipstream sp3 into your xp disc and reformat

windows installs get hammered too much for ms to ensure it'll install ok on everyone's machine
