SP30 - how long do the point stay on your licence?

Off your license in 3 years but insurance companies will like you to mention it for 5 years.
But they probably wont charge much more because of 1 SP30, I didnt get charged any extra.

thats from the date of conviction.
 
its definitely 4 years on your licence before they can be removed, i have been through this twice ;) (but as said only 3 for totting up)


And for insurance purposes its 5 for some weird reason, quite how they get round that i am not too sure, surely there is a case for discrimination there? technically if they are removed by DVLA after 4 years then surely you have fulfilled the rehabilitation period?

Some companies for an SP30 dont even bother, if however you have to of the badgers then they tend to take notice.

not if you change address, or make any other ammendment to the license (name change etc). this doesnt include the photo.. you have to pay for that... which reminds me, i have to update mine - looking a bit young on it :o
