Issued with an SP60 in 05 and I am keen to have the endorsement removed and change from a paper license too. Does an SP60 sit on your license for 4 years like other SP endorsements? I see no mention of the SP60 on the DVLA's website only 10-50.

Cheers.

i got an SP30 in Jan 05 and recently had my licence renewed (3 year limit due to health) and i got a clean paper section back which i thought was pretty weird, still have to tell insurance companies tho as thats within 5 years iirc

SP60 is for a fairly serious speeding offence in place of an SP30 or 50 where the court deemed it appropriate to give something harsher, no idea why the DVLA's site doesnt mention in.

Sits on for the same amount of time as all regular SP convictions.

Or just don't bother. Or "move" house and get them removed for free (then move back next month).

is this actually true ?

because when i changed address, somehow they bended the laws of physics and changed the address header on my paper counterpart license, but left the license intact

i know they did as well, or used a very very good colour photocopy, because my points from 2001 (moved a couple of years ago) were added in pen, and the handwriting etc.. was still the same.

SP60 is simply an undefined speeding offence that is not covered by the other codes, e.g. at a temporary speed limit, but it may attract a higher insurance premium.

I personally don't see the point in even sending it away to have them removed?

I got 3 in Jan 01 which are obviously spent now but it's never occured to me to bother getting them removed?

I assumed the "moving house" trick worked? It used to. Maybe they've stopped doing it now because people kept moving for 2months just to get their points removed :p
