hey guys , im on the look out for some space games like the flight combat type, i have X3 and X2 already aswell as star wars battlefront 2.

but i need more, X3 is a bit indepth - im looking for a more relaxed games as in not so much traiding etc etc more combat based im not botherd about age just aslong as its not too old like 95

so anny sugestions would be greatly welcomed

Freelancer, bit of trading, lots of fighting. Good game.

Theres another as well, had a face and red stuff on the cover of the CD case. I never finished it and cant for the life of me remember the name! Will have a look through my collection!

Freespace 2 is the best I've played.

Be warned that if you install all the addons and crank everything up to max it can use over 1gig RAM... :eek:

Freespace 2 is probably the best but Darkstar One and Freelancer are also pretty nice games.

hmm, hardly point and click, theres quite a lot more to it than that even if you can't directly fly your ship like in X3

i know, ive been playing for 2 years

But if he doesnt liked trading, its a safe bet to say he will hate mining

He is just after a bit of space blasting fun and to get to the kind of level where Eve is good fun would take him a few months.

Can;t believe no one has mentioned the Star Wars games.

Alright Xwing is older that the OP wants but XWing alliance is easy to pick up and play and has the music!
