Hi all, I've had a look through forums but can't see anything which would apply specifically.
My 1st problem is I'm very lmited as to the space in which I can place a PC. Almost no room to the rear of standard ATX case and very limited clearance to the sides. I have some room vertically and the front would be open which brings me to problem no 2. 7 Cats & 1 Dog in the house so the air inside is usually a thick fug of discarded pet hair which as you can imagine clogs fans up fairly rapidly.
So what I'm looking for would be a build which would require the least possible air intake and a case where my air flow is basically bottom to top with space behind mbo to hide cabling to maximise air. I can budget £600 - £700. Optical drives etc I can scavenge and I won't need to include an OS in the price. To be used for some gaming but nothing too taxing graphically. SSD for the OS and a 1Tb hard drive.
Not built anything for a good few years but I'm assuming Intel still run cooler than AMD? If so I'd be looking at Haswell for some futureproofing so I can upgrade if I ever get some space. If watercooling is the way to go then some kind of self contained unit would be necessary given my general clumisness.
