Space needed to record 24 hours with 1mp camera?

Hi, im just wondering roughly how much space would be needed to record for 24 hours using a small 1mp camerA? Cheers

What resolution are you recording at and what is you FPS?

Film a minute, check file size, multiply by 1440.

It really depends on the quality, codec and amount of movement.

I'd suggest recording five minutes of footage and then multiplying the result by 288.

Im not sure really.. Say if i was recording at a lowish resoultion with a low codec and quite a lot of movement..

record for 80 minutes and multiply by 18 is the easiest option imo

I take it we are talking a web cam rather than a digital camera, as doubt many camera batteries would last 24 hours constant use.

Try recording for 120 minutes and then multiply it by 12. That would be your best bet

Record for a day then convert it to hours imo.
