Space Shuttle Atlantis set to launch

Have been watching all evening, currently it's all go over there, but the overseas emergency landing areas are no-go atm apparently

Ah one overseas site (France) has removed their chance for fog so the no-go has been removed :) so all go for the moment, they have been in this built in hold for a while now.

good news :)

probably been pushed back a little bit due to the extended hold, but the nasa footage involved minimal updates :( so it may still happen on time

Got up close to one of the crawlers and the hangar where the Shuttles are preped for Launch at Christmas. Simply awesome, one of the best experiences of my life

This hold will last until 00:29 our time.

Then countdown will resume at T-9 minutes.

ahh yeah :) cheers the man just clarified :D like you say 10 minutes to 00:29 then the 9 minute final countdown to 00:38 :)

Also this weekend if you're lucky and live where there is no cloud, say cornwall/devon you may be able to see the shuttle approaching the ISS as the ISS tears across the sky.

Check heavens-above if you fancy finding out when it will be overhead :D
