spacetime - 3d browsing

Not sure how exactly it works, when you do a search it just opens the first few links Google gives. seems overtly flashy, installs as a firefox add-on. :)

Seems a bit of a rip off of Sun's Looking glass 3d desktop.
Looks like its more hassle than just reading the few lines of txt on a google search.

I lost all interest at "search today is slow and 'belch' slow and painful..."

Erm, no it isn't. I type in what I want to find and it appears instantly.

This sort of thing has been tried and has failed before because it is pointless.

I just gave it a bash done a few things like the video and tbh I found it worked quite well, going back and forth between some youtube ebay and overclockers was easy and dar I say kind of fun. :D

So much potential, but fails miserably on the details :(
Little things are grating, such as the process trying to open a link in a new tab- I'd personally place this on the top, stacked so I can have easy access to both the new and previous windows, but no- It insists on forming a new stack. (I haven't found a way to actually properly stack tabs, so that more than one is visible in the 'pile' / 'stack'. It does this automatically if you use its search for images etc, but that's really not the point!)
The menus to do this are also inconsistent at best- I know this is beta stuff, but surely you can implement a single menu on right-click?!

The 3D flip/ preview between tabs is something that I'd take in the everyday Firefox, no problems, but IMHO there's a need for a proper list of whats open without having to activate the flip/ bottom bar.

I'd definitely use something like this, but really needs work on both the customisation and little details!

Cheers

what this tec needs to set it apart is a 3D interface bewteen you and the software some how controled by some sort of digital feedback from your finger tips, almost minority report'esq.
woyld be truly cool, a step in the rite direction though none the less
