I have for several years been getting spam calls and they have usually only been once a month or so.
I have an app (TrueCaller) which is like a P2P network of call blocking based on user input of numbers that need to be blocked and for the most part it is very good.
However it seems spam robot callers have worked out how to spoof random mobile numbers.
I get about 5 robot calls a day from France or numbers that looks very similar to mine. I don't think the app can judge that they are spam so is letting them through.
I do not answer any, I just let them ring out so that the robot doesn't think I exist (hopefully).
I have read they are just machines testing numbers to gather info on what time of day you will answer (in the hope of selling to marketing companies).
This is driving me nuts tbh. Is there anything I can do to stop it aside from changing my number which I have had for 20years
