Hi all,

I've got my own domain setup and use outlook 2007 to check emails sent to the email address associated with that domain. The problem is that I get a HUGE amount of spam. Really silly amounts. The outlook spam filter catches about 75% of it but some of it still ends up in my inbox which really frustrates me. Can anyone recommend some good utilities or addons to help either reduce it or filter it properly ?

I used to use Popfile when I was in the same situation, you have to train it but over time it becomes very acurate :)

Now all my domain stuff gets forwarded to Gmail which does a damn good job of sorting it for me.

probably a long shot but you sure you aren't getting all the default spam for your domain.

This happened to me at the start anything with my domain name suffix was sent to my inbox.

Just create a new mail account and never use it for anything apart from mails or create a forum@ account for signing up to forums and have your host delete the files older than 10 days :D

Yes, don't use a catchall e-mail address on your domain if you can help it.

I also use MailWasher Pro, which checks your e-mail on the server before downloading it to Outlook. It makes deleting any spam much quicker. See antispam software.

Rgds
