The number of spam emails I receive has been steadily dropping for some months. I've gone from having many hundreds of emails in my Spam folder to just over a hundred. Until just recently when it's started to track back upwards. Drat!

Notice the same thing happens to me - occasionally get a big uptick (presumably as my email address gets sold on to a new batch of scammers or whatever) and then gradually drops off.
Gmail and outlook seem to filter out most of the spam though, so only notice when I check for spam. Unfortunately outlook consistently marks actual important emails as spam too so I have to check through the spam folder every couple of weeks

Edit: Tbf just looked at my gmail spam folder and there were only two emails in it, so must have thinned out a lot recently. Ready and waiting for the next uptick!

I've got a load of cans of it in the cupboard, I need to do more fritters.
Last time round we ended up with left over spam and batter in the fridge, somehow it disappeared over night.

(on topic btw Spam is getting out of hand... the amount of emails and phone calls i get is stupid, and some of the buggers even seem to spoof their number so it looks like a sensible number.

What amazes me about spam, is that you will get almost identical emails for months and people like Microsoft will simply let them through, and then go further and mark them as 'focus' mailbox items (I.e. important).

Spam is imo moving up a gear now and evolving into something new.
