Just checked an account that's been idle for about 3 months and it had a couple of hundred from Gumtree ( just because i asked a seller a question about a item ) and about the same again from a facebook spammer even though i don't use facebook.

I'm sure i've not thought this topic through properly when references to Enlargement devices start being posted. :)

I bet he is kicking himself , no edit on 1000s of emails. :)

Yes but that's not the question is it?

So you don't understand what you proposed?

It's not good advice to click any link in a spam email is it potentially puts a user at risk of malware , phishing exploits or digital fingerprinting for further zero day exploits...

It also lets the spam bot know that the email box is active and worth spamming.

You didn't say unsolicited did you?

OK not quite spam but do these companies seriously think that people will re-read pages of small print every few months to play the game of spot the difference?

The report claims that:
  • data about US web users' habits are shared in advert sales processes 107 trillion times per year. European users' data is shared 71 billion times
  • Germany's individual internet users' data is shared once every minute that they are online, using a calculation based on averages

That is some serious amount of data.

How does a Pihole, uBlock Origin and Cookie Auto Delete amd VPN (when it's not too slow) affect that?

Should help with browsing but it's not going to do jack for all the computers that have our private information such as ISP's, Banks and the NHS that all seem to be on a mission to share our data with 3rd parties.

Getting a lot of Currys spam at the moment, i made the mistake of clicking a clearance link and then got an email when i closed the webpage saying "you left, this is what you're missing".

Is that spam or harassment. :D
