Span on 280GTX SLI?

i want the start bar to go across both my monitors, but in nvidia control panel it doesn't give me the span option

Think you may have answered you own question there.

Right click on the desktop and then choose Personalise or Properties depending on your OS. Select Settings and there should be a box on that screen to extend your desktop to a second monitor. Tick that and you should be good to go.

Or use Ultramon and enable smart taskbar, it's a great app for multi screens.

I second the ultramon, I've been using it for *years*. I can't believe they've not added something like this into Windows yet - it makes multi-display setups so more usable!
