Spaniards - do they hate cars or something?

My neighbour is a spanish chap....

Can't park for ****!

Apparently, he needs 50ft of space to park a Vectra (£100 jobbie, you wait till I post pics later in this thread!). He goes mental if anyone parks outside his house (they are allowed, he has no drive) and also gets quite abusive. He's tried to bully us into parking further up the street so he can park outside his house without hitting anyone elses car.

Even when there's no car in front of his space, he drives past it, then reverses at high speed and slams on the brakes just before he hits your car. He's a total nutter!

He denied backing into our car, leaving a towbar shaped dent/crack in the number plate. He denied he's done this, despite the fact that he's the only person allowed to park there and the only person in the street with a towbar! Two days later, he's on the floor taking the towbar off.

I came home from work one day and parked my car about 6ft from him. He comes out the house, reverses his already parked car at high speed, nearly slamming into the front of my ST (I don't know where he was moving it to or why). I get out, ask what the idiot is playing at. He stank of booze and became abusive. His wife came out and held him back whilst he tried to assault me in front of whitnesses. The police were called, they warned him about his behaviour. It's only a shame the world cup was on, as they were too busy to attend that day when he was drunk.

Well, I started recording his actions and the last time he came round shouting abuse I told him about the video I now have of him hitting our car a few days earlier. I also told him that if he didn't provide me with his insurance details, I shall be contacting the police (there's no real damage, so I won't be, but I'll let him think I will). He's not spoken to me since and now parks down the bottom of the road because he knows our CCTV records the parking. If that isn't admission that he can't park without hitting someone I don't know what is.

Oh, and because he now parks down the street, other people now park outside his house. We have very thin walls and can hear every word when he's shouting. He still slags off the neighbours for parking outside his house. Also, he's shouted abuse through the wall at us (for parking too close!?!?!), played loud music in two different rooms (only when his Mrs is out, he's scared of her). He's gone up and down the walls banging them with a hammer (or similar). He's stood in the back garden shouting abuse at us and his other neighbour over the parking. He's like a very, very angry Manuel from Fawlty Towers.

I had a neighbour like that, I got a 15" sub and attached it to the wall (no cabinet, just the speaker) and left the Chemical Brother's 'Under the Influence' on loop for about 30 minutes.

He stopped shouting quite soon after that, try it!

Battlefield BC2 on a THX Approved sound system seems to do the trick. I don't usually play with tanks... but...

My mum lives in Tenerife and they are the same there. She bought a new Fiesta back in 2000 when she moved there and by 2001 there wasn't a panel without a scrape or dent in it. I've watched the locals nudge cars out of the way to make a space large enough to park in. Mental.

Lol soun ds liek you live next to a right looney, Phoenix, luckily my neighbours aren't that bad, lol.

Boils my **** when I hear someone say (usually women) "bumpers are for bumping" Arrrrrrrggggghhhhh!!!.

Todays dinked motors influde an f10 525d which can´t be more that say 6 months old, a 60plate Focus with GB stickers (bet he wished he´d left it in the UK!)

And a Honda NSX!

The parking thing seems to be the cruncher - pardon the pun! - I watched an e39 bump its way into a fiesta sized space earlier.......

Its surprising how much the bumpers give on those things!

Todays shock find - an e39 520d ! - iirc they never produced that variant over in the UK yet its the most common of the e60 & f10 variants I´d wager.....
Even more surprising, it was undamaged! :D

Fox, I got a pic of it on my mobile, just for you. ;)

Only 4 cylinder E39 ever produced. Luckily the E39 was from a time before everyone in the UK was obsessed with spouting rubbish about torque, so they didn't allow it to sully the E39 range.

136bhp of pure fail. It's a shocking engine which had its fair share of issues.
Pre-facelift E46 320d was equally ****e.
