what 360 game do i get stuck between call of duty 3 and rainbow 6 lv?
played and loved call of duty 2 but had to trade it in to get spare cash for gears of war.
never played rainbow 6 but heard good things thought i'd ask you my fellow gamers advice.
 
As an owner of both, I can safely say Rainbow 6 is the far better game (in my opinion of course). COD3 is nowhere near as good as COD2 :(
 
yeah i was leaning in that direction wasnt sure though heard r6lv is very realistic to play wats the co op like .

so cod3 not as good wats missing spent loads of time on cod2

R6 single player is great, multiplayer however is where it really excels. Tons of different game types all of which are good fun to play and co-op with mates is excellent! For the team-based modes, without communication you're dead very quickly - so it encourages everyone to do their bit and actually work together.

COD3 is just generally a bit poor, mainly because:
- they've concentrated too much on shaking the screen around to explosions/reloading etc that you can never see what you're doing.
- the stupid side-games are pointless, annoying, too frequent and badly done. They really detract from the whole 'immersion' that you got with COD2 and make it feel like a kids arcade game.
- The enemy and team-mate AI is/are INCREDIBLY dumb.
- Pointless and badly thought-out missions. I dont feel compelled to complete the tasks.
- Framerate problems (dont remember having any in COD2) and it does not warrant them as it is average looking.
- Some other bits I'd like to rant about but can't remember just now ;)
 
well think that pretty much seals it i'll go buy r6lv at lunch hopefully won't get to wet walking to shops but it'll be worth it summin to play tonight and to get spanked online for my noobiness to the game .

Really? Was going to ask for COD3 for Xmas too, having second thoughts now! Actually started playing COD2 again. Trying to complete on Veteran and it's damn hard!! :mad:
 
I quite liked COD2 but wasn't blown away by it. L33 could have just saved me spending £40 on the wrong game so thanks!

I'm just happy that someone else is going to avoid the mistake I made (buying COD3 lol) :)

Love COD3 myself, thought the graphics on HD were very good in deed, far better than COD2, online gameplay is very good, all in all a very good game and well worth getting. Everyone has their own thoughts though.
 
It's a fun game to get if you enjoyed that genre, I recently bought it myself after not having COD2 and am enjoying it.
