I wasn't given a spare key for my Saxo as the guy lost the original and I am using the spare.

I now have 2 alarm fobs so thats ok.

What is the best way of getting a new key? Citreon or just getting one cut?

Any ideas how much citreon will charge?

Citroen might be expensive, I know ford are.

All I did was to buy an uncut ford key from ebay and take it in to town to have it cut. That way I didnt have to pay silly prices and I still got a genuine ford key, the built in remote needed programing though obviously.

Do you have an imobiliser or is that in the alarm fob or what?

I do have an immobiliser, it comes up on the dash when I turn the key 1 click before start. This is the one provided by citreon.

I'm not sure if my toad alarm has an immobiliser.

The remote isn't really needed as the alarm fob opens/locks the doors and windows.

In that case if you have the factory fit immobiliser built in to the key, I think thats a Citreon job.

I don't think that it has an immobiliser built into the key.

This key just looks a standard spare. It has no electrical components inside.

What year is it? Early Saxo's had the keypad immobiliser where you had to enter a 4 digit code before you could start the car. If yours hasn't got one of these there there will be a small transponder chip in the key. If you buy an additional key it will need programming into the immobiliser which is a dealer to well-equipped specialist job.
