Hi all,

I currently have 2 old decommissioned servers I’ve acquired from work, both with licensed versions of 2003 server just sitting around at home and need a use for them. Both Servers have around 100GB of storage, dual PIII, with 1GB of RAM.

I thought about setting up a NAS server but that’s a bit boring and I’d like something creative to do. Either that or I might drop them from a great height and watch them shatter into a million little pieces :D

Any and all suggestions welcome. :)

Thanks

Dave

install folding@home on both of them and join the ocuk folding team :) you could use them as a file server aswell :) or drop them into my hands and ill put them to good use :D

File/media server, hardware firewall, test system or you could do as suggested put them to use for F@H or similar. Another option is to give them to charity so that people who really need them can use them. :)

Hey never thought of charity, really good idea ! thanks :)

Think i'l have a play around with 1 of them, set it up as a file server and F@H and donate the other one.

Cheers Guys :D
