As per titlle, how often should these be changed

My car has started to stall when changing down through gears and the battery light always comes on. Cars done 30K and I know that the plugs were not changed on the last service.

Do you think I am right in assuming these should have been changed.

Probably. Some plugs last a lot longer than others. You can get them for about £2 each and they just unscrew... so easy to change that it's not worth not doing it.

Every 20k / 30k, i would say, depends on the car and service schedule.

What car is it, and what engine?

Although it's usually very easy to whip one out and they generally cost £2, there are exceptions.
