SPDIF coax cable lengths

It's digital so I don't think it will really be an issue, unless your cable is damaged in some way.

Quality doesn't make a difference.

What will power cables do to it? It's digital, shoving it next to a power cable isn't going to introduce enough interference for the signal to drop out.

Hell, I've used the crappy composite video cables that come free with graphics cards as digital coax cables before.

It's digital, yes, but still electrical. Coaxial cables are screened for a reason. That screen is by no means perfect.

i've run a 10 meter length of the cheapest rca cable i could find (around the room) along side 3 pairs of speaker cable and next to mains cable at the pc end.......absolutely no problems.

Ran a 10 metre cable today from an Audigy sound card to a Techniks amp to Tannoy speakers, sounded crisp as anything :D
