Hi all
I've just recently upgraded my PC, and was stuck with a motherboard without SPDIF input. Since I currently use my PC speakers (until I move house and buy my A/V system) I use the SPDIF cable to connect the sound from my TV to the PC.
I bought the Creative SB X-fi Xtreme Audio PCI-e card which comes with the connection to counter the problem.
Unfortunately I've noticed that I'm now faced with a 0.3-0.5 seconds sound delay, so now lip syncing is out of the question; I can't play Guitar Heroes anymore using my PC speakers either!
I've looked at the settings, what little there is, and made sure that the sampling rate and bit depth is minimum and, turning off all the funky technology. Still no luck.
I'm wondering if anyone can suggest anything that I could do to test the cause of this problem? Or am I stuck with it till I get my A/V system?
