Speak No Evil

Why did they give so much away in the trailer . The original was decent though and it doesn't look like they've ruined it too much so probably worth a watch

Ridiculous trailer, there is no need for them to give so much away. I presume the studios edit them this way because data suggests it's the best way to get people to see the movie... same reason we now have those 'TRAILER STARTS NOW' introductions. Data must show the average persons attention span is non-existent lol.

The first two thirds of the film were decent and quite tense but found the final third to be lacking. James McAvoy was good.

I imagine some people will moan about the characters decisions at certain points but you can’t really do these kind of films without characters making a series of bad choices

leave the cuddly toy behind ffs

Just finished watching this. 7.5-8/10. Not having seen the original and only seeing the trailer it didn't go quite as I thought.

First 2 thirds really had me intrugued, but the ending didn't go as I thought. For some reason I was expecting horror. The trailer was scarier than the film! Ended up reminding me of Us or some sort of budget M Night Shymalan film as @imtoooldforthis said, standard bad decisions made by the victims. James McAvoy was awesome, I was expecting him to go full beast mode at the end like his character in Split/Glass. He looked absolutely huge, like he's auditioning to be the next Wolverine or something.

Watch this one

Was a little strange watching this given I saw the original within the last year but this was actually a really good remake. Changes here and there, especially in the final third are enough to keep the experience interesting even when you know the overall plot. McAvoy was brilliant too.
Overall I think I prefer the original's ending though, this one was a bit Hollywood.
