Speaker advice - 2.0 Monitors Vs 2.1 set

I'm comparing the AE Aego M (£90)

Vs

EDIROL MA-15DBK (£87)

But i'm a bit of a basshead, i dont like a lack of bottom end. But i heard these 2.0 monitors are actually pretty good at full range.

I guess the ideal set up would be the aego's sub with the monitors

I was wondering about these exact two as well.

The Edirol have digital in, so that should be an advantage right? But obv the Aego's are well renowned... anyone?

i've never personally used the optical audio thing but if i did get the edirols i did want to try it on the ps2 etc

i'm sure the edirols have the quality but wondering if they have the power/size to fill a room at party volume, with plenty of bass

EDIT: then again i've heard a small sub-£200 jvc bookshelf system that did a brilliant job at that so maybe these can

Aegos are brilliant, more than enough for parties in a medium-sized room

Easily drowned out by my friend's PA system though
