Speaker advice needed

In my MK2 mondeo I'm currently running a Alpine CDA-9853R headunit on the factory speakers which are quite frankly rubbish.

I'm looking at replacing then with some Alpine SPR-171A , since I won't be using an amp (and can't fit one later), they will be running straight off the head unit. Are these overkill?

That link is SPS-171A's.

I have them in my Mk2 Mondeo, they sound good.

Nope I run them off the head unit.

I just bought some of those Alpines last night. £68 delivered brand new, just need to look in places where you also can buy 2nd hand via auctions.

Should be 2 more left for the same price as i got them for.

Im planning on running through HU at first then maybe going to amp in the end.
