speaker advice please

ok, so i have never really bothered with the speakers on my pc as i dont use them much, and just have a pair of cheapo ones.

going to be moving back into my parents for a bit though and will be minimising everything i have, so i am looking at getting a decent speaker system. it will need to be compatable with pc and xbox 360, eventually an av reciever aswell.

looking to spend a maximum of £200, any recommendations are welcome.

are you saying that i should get the logitech z-5500 speakers? otherwise there dont appear to be many contenders in that other thread.

I'm no expert on AV gear, but if you're gonna buy an AV receiver at some point in the future, then wouldn't it be a waste to get some PC speakers now?

nah, i will be buying solely an av reciever, no surround sound speakers are included.

i wont be getting the av reciever for a bit yet (probably atleast 6 months). so for the forseable future it will be pc and 360.

EDIT. i already have some speakers that i will be able to use with the reciever, but while i am at my parents i will be keeping a lot of my stuff boxed up. so if the pc speakers would work ok with the reciever it would be good. if its not possible, or it wont sound too hot then ill just wait till i move out before buying the reciever.
