Hi, I have a Pioneer SC 2024 which uses passthrough for the left and right channels to my Roksan hifi amp. This then feeds my left and right speakers. The amp has two in use inputs, one is my Sonos Connect and the other is from the AV amp.
When I'm using the Sonos as source, there is no buzz or hum at all.
When I switch it over to the AV input, I get a low volume buzz, but it's constantly there.
I'm using a relatively decent RCA cable which is 1.8m long (Atlas Element). I've tried swapping it out with another and the issue persists. I've also tried moving the cable as far away from any power interference as I can, no change.
Any idea what the issue could be? It doesn't matter what's on the other side of the AV feed, be it Sky Q, a Windows box, Shield, Fire TV etc.
Would it be worth grounding both amps at all?
