Hello i was hopin for some help i have a set of the z5500 logitech surround sound speakers in my room linked up to the pc and also the ps3 via a optical cable

I am considering buyin sky+ for my bedroom but the problem is if i used another optical cable to connect it to my speakers i would have to keep unpluggin the ps3 one and the sky+ one for whatever one i want to watch, is there a way of making it so i dont have to do this? The tele i am usin is the Philips 37PFL7662D if that helps.

Thanks Leon :)

so with this i would have one optical cable from ps3 going to the switch and one optical cable going from the sky box to the switch then what do i need another optical cable from that to connect it to the control centre of the surround sound system? Sorry am rubbish with what cables to get etc :(

But reason i want to use the speakers is because they are better than the crappy stock speakers on the tele itself..

A splitter will do the job, no need for a switch. Only thing with a splitter is it will only work if only one of the two devices is turned on, so I suggest plugging the Sky Box and PS3 into the splitter.

Would that be fine then? Would it be ok then if one of them was on standby or do u mean totally cut off with no power?
