I'm after a dock for my gf's 3rd Gen iPod Nano. I know nothing about iPods but she's dropped a few hints about wanting one for her upcoming birthday. Hopefully we can use it to replace the crappy hifi in the lounge. Any suggestions? Looking to spend about £100. TIA :)

Was gonna say have a look at 'Fatman' iPod docks, but then I saw your budget!..

Basically any of the current iPod Docks and speaker systems will work merrily with the 3rd Gen Nano (I know as I have one and have tried many!!), just go to Apple* and order some Dock Adapters unless your girlfriend still has hers handy!..

(*Apple were actually the cheapest place I found to order a pack of 3 of these things!! by at least £5!!).. :)

Have a look at Logitec!.. very nice speaker systems!!..

or do what I've done and get a Chronos iPod/DAB AlarmClock/Radio!.. only about £90 and the sound is one of the best I've heard!!..

I think that's subjective. The sound from the Chronos completely lacks bass and would be a poor replacement for a lounge hi-fi.

But 100notes, your gonna struggle to get decent Bass anyway!..

I've looked a loads of Speaker/Dock systems and none priced under £150/200 sounded like a decent replacement for a Lounge Stereo!..
