Speaker issues?

What is it with speakers in the cars that I own? I had this problem in my old Corsa C and now I am having it in my E91.

Basically, upon turning the entertainment system on, I notice that the front right speaker seems to not be putting out as much as it should be, so I twiddle the volume up to give it a blast, and then it is fine.

Whats up with the speaker? Is it repairable, or do I need to swap a speaker out?

It would be worth checking the speaker cable, it might have an iffy connection.

Failing that, it could be the amp built in to the head unit.
