Hi, this is my room, im really not getting the bass or midrange im used to when my speakers were in a tiny room on a bookshelf. Now there on low stands.

Iv got a sub so i would have thought that would provide a lot of help, however it also doesnt seem to be doing its job in this new big room. Anyone got any ideas, or does my room size now dwarf the speakers?

Edit: Quick photo to help, sorry about the mess, and the curtains, they were there when i moved in :p

Move them closer to the wall. Keep moving them about back and forward until it is right (or better).

Put the sub on your seat, crawl around the floor listening for a boom and then put the sub in that place (there will probably be more than one).

If you want to find the best place for your sub try this, you will look daft but it does work.

Put the sub in the position where you usually sit.
Now crawl around the room until you find the spot where you like the sound of the bass, thats where the sub goes.

Its a lot easier than trying lots of places for the sub from your normal listening spot.

Cheers lads, certainly done the trick, only now my sub is taking up vital foot space under my desk, so iv had to move everything along a bit. :p
