Speaker question

If I was to swap from a Creative I-Trigue 5600 speakers to another setup, what can you recommend for £150. Is the G500 THX gigaworks setup much better (has high wattages to all speakers, and a more powerful amp) or is there a cheap, decent sounding 5.1 hi fi amp and speakers you could pickup say on a famous auction site.

Am looking at going from AC850 onboard to an XFI setup at the same time so hopefully I'd get decent quality compared to now.

Any 5.1 set/5.1 amp and speakers that would sound considerably better within the sub-200 range?

I was going to get the 5.1 gigaworks, but after reading some reviews I changed my mind. In reviews the 5.1 gigaworks did quite poorly in the sound tests and cant match the z-680/z-5500 for sound quality..
