Hi,

I'm in the process of purchasing a home cinema system. I'm mainly looking at 2nd hand mid range gear such as B&W,Mordaut-Short etc.
I've already picked up some Mordaunt 302's but want to know if it matters if you mix and macth pairs of speakers.
Can you have different makes centre, sub, fronts and rears or is there a problem with that?

Thanks
Paul

For front three I would match from the same range. But for rears/sides it doesn't matter so much. And for subwoofer it doesn't matter at all.

you definately want to have the front 3 from the same manufacturer and if you can the same range. The idea is that a sound panning from left to right via the centre should not change in tone and be a seamless transistion.
