Hi Guys,

My trusty creative 4.1 speakers have finally given up the ghost after 6 years and so it is time to get me some new ones!

I'm looking for some 5.1 jobs around £50 but I have a requirement that makes this decision slightly more difficult.

The headphone port on my PC is *really* difficult to get to and too far away for most headphones, so I would need one that is either on one of the front speakers or in the volume control knob - basically, somewhere on the desk...

Does anyone know of anything that might do the job?

Thank you!

An audio extension would be a nice way of doing it. In theory it will degrade the sound but in practice I doubt you will hear any difference.

ive got a 7.1 creative speakers and ive got a volume control which has a headphone and aux sockets on it......very handy.
cant remember what set they are though but about a year old now.

Maybe get an audio extension cable? Search for audio extension cable m/f. There really cheap, only like 2 or 3 quid.

Its a good idea, thought about it, but when anything is plugged into the headphone socket (even if nothing is on the end of the extention cable) the mobo will route sound through there and not my speakers.

I will check out those Inspires.

Thanks guys

P.S any more recommendations still appreciated!
